Thermal transfer technology is a method that uses a heat to transfer the image directly to the facestock. Thermal transfer ribbons are required. Thermal transfer labels are produced either on rolls or fanfolded. Depending on your thermal printer (and your preference), both work equally well. Recommended for product identification, shipping labels and most packaging applications. Compatible with Zebra, Datamax, Sato and other thermal label printers*
